Did you happen to check chain tension and valve clearances also?

I replaced the right side camshaft oil seal. And also the gasket behind that cover. The seal was pretty worn out and letting through a good amount of oil. All better now though :)

I got a 1981 Special II for free last week. 7700 Miles. Brought it home, screw in right side spark plug into previously stripped threads and it ran no problem. Engine will be getting torn down to get those threads fixxed. Can't complain as the bike was free, everything else is in great condition...

I think I possibly found the reason why the front brake was sticking - lol. The brake fluid was a nice shade of red and has some debris in it. Don't have an after pic but it cleaned up nicely. The piston has a small section of pitting on one side but i don't think it will be an issue.
