I saw the eyelet a couple nights ago and that's what I plan to clean next, once the neutral switch arrives. 1ohm is too high a resistance for my comfort.
Thanks Gents for your advice. I did order a Deutsch connector kit and a crimper but so far couldn't muster the courage to tear back into it.
I found the "ground strap" two nights ago. Looks like a place to start to improve the electricals.
