    thanks guys... im gonna look at the exhaust mount idea... quicker and easier than driling the frame and will look a lot better.

    just looked at some pictures, then at the bike, then pictures, and back to bike. . . the stock holes where the arm for the footpegs have been filled and welded up:banghead: so now i guess i need to fabricate some brackets that mount to the frame. . .

    on my 83' xs i have forward controls and i am looking to go back to stock or to get some a little farther back. No luck on ebay for "stock" anyone have ideas or suggestions on where to look?

    Good to know! i might snag a set of clip-ons to see how the feel... any idea what size i would need? im sure you got to have the right diameter for the forks and the bars

    already got after it. . . had some mini-apes on it. got some drag bars put on this morning, next is a new clutch cable, master cyclinder, and headlight.
