    Don't mean to hijack, but I'm having similar problem. Replaced the coil, blue box, battery, ground strap, stator -- still no spark. Just checked my coil wires to spark plug -- setting on ohms, expecting to get zero reading, instead I get ~5.12, on both wires. ?? I have some replacement kits...

    Yes Paul, the white spot was visible -- I pushed the kick start lever with my hand until I could see it through the hole, so when I reinstalled I could put it back close to where it was. Thanks.

    :D Thanks fredintoon, and yes the front brake is still there. It ran really well for quite a number of 20-30 mile trips, before it stopped running at all.
