Thanks for all the quick replies guys. I'm just in the "Ripping everything apart" stage right now. Wiring was a complete mess and total hack job. It's now in a pile on the floor. Fenders are off, along with quite a few other odds and ends. Motor is almost ready to come out. Gotta con my buddy...
Thanks guys. I'm thinking I'll just stick with the rolling chassis, and see what I can do with it. I'm currently removing the engine and getting rid of all the hacked up wiring.
Tag on the neck gives a date of 8/77. I'm assuming this is a 1977 bike.

I'd like to swap the motor over to the hardtail frame in the 2nd pic, and build a nice, ratty chopper.
The motor kicks over, and seems to have decent compression. Haven't put a gauge to it.
I pulled the dipstick and the oil looks pretty good. It's dark, but no metal or plastic shavings.
