The points and coils were taken out from a 78 because of a pamco swap

So I am cleaning out my hoard of extras..some stuff is off either a 79 or 80 special. I have not tested anything other than the rotor (78) and it tested 5 ohms. Make me an offer and please be patient as I work a lot of hours..Thanks! I can provide more detailed pics upon request.

Okay, so I'm still wondering why it wouldn't start until it cooled down. Is that something that is normal when its 90 out?

I have read the carb guide, a couple times. Just did the dead cylinder method today, took if for a ride and the plugs looked normal afterward, so hopefully the major kinks are worked out!

Yea I do have spark. Decent spark. I got it fired up. That lasted about 2 minutes and it quit again. I will pick up some more plugs and give it a go again. Coil tested fine. I have spark. However the plugs with about 50 miles on them were black. So I cleaned them off and turned the mix screws in a turn. Is that about all I can do? Could that be the problem?
