Thanks scabber, kinda hard to stay motivated when you're tight on build funds. But you're right there is always something you can do that's free, too bad it's not the fun stuff. Thanks for stoking the fires again. On that note, say bye bye to the brown.

Wish I could say after but I think this is going to take a while. I bought one of the cheap hf blast guns but the baking soda is just not cutting it. Anybody know if its safe to use something else? And if so what will cut through the years of crap a little faster?

Thanks man, I've looked at that before but there is some weird stuff floating around in these forks. I think I have it figured out now. Hopefully have it all back together this afternoon.

Anybody know which parts go in the upper part of the fork, and which ones go in the lower? I should have paid more attention when I took them apart.should it look like the bottom, or the top? I really have to take more photos when I take things apart.:D

Thanks scabber, the paint is just dupli-color acrylic lacquer from the local auto parts store. The clear is what makes it, that is spray max 2k glamour high gloss. It's about $20 a can at www.66autocolor.com but worth every penny. I ordered two cans and it covered the swing arm and frame, but if...

I got my dampers back from Hugh's today with the lowering spacers installed! :D I shipped them out last Monday and they are back already. That's some great service. Looks like the front end can get put back together and go back on this weekend.

I'm with you on that hellbent, I might go a little thinner but I still want to have some comfort on longer trips. And still kind of have a stock look to it. What part of Ohio are you in? I grew up around Columbus. Still have family there, so I'm shooting for a trip up in August to see the build...
