The tank is from a 77 xs750. I liked it because of its natural cafe shape, even though the rest of the bike is not exactly cafe.
The thing about chrome is its a mirror. If there are ANY defects in the tank its going to amplify them, and as the rest of the tank is perfect they will jump out...
Hi, my reserve unit burned out today with much grey smoke and smell while in traffic. I unplugged it and rode home without a headlight. My bike is Canadian and the headlight switch doesnt do anything, the headlight is always on (legal requirement here). I tried connecting the blue-yellow to...
here are 3 pics. Someone before me looks like they got paint in it. THere is some light surface rust in spots. I have 1/2 a bottle of rust converting primer in my garage, I'll toss it in and deal with it.
has it got the correct plug end already? Or with instructions on how to wire it in? Would you consider Canada too foreign? USPS airmail is cheap and always been reliable.

Selling my original tank with working original petcocks but no cap. No dents. Paint is good except for one scrape (pictured). This spot is down to the primer but not the metal. I cant see a dint, only the paint was scraped. Done by the previous owner. Inside looks good, no obvious rust...
I cafe'd my XS so no longer need the stock seat. This was on my '77 XS650 and the hinges and latch line up perfectly. Its in too good shape to gather dust in my garage. No tears, no blemishes. Comfortable as the foam is not all dried out. Would be perfect for someone rebuilding to stock. Asking...
