When i was assembling my 270 motor i noticed the rephased cam is not ballanced, the stock cam being symetrical as far as lobe centers, i am currently trying to figure how to ballance the 270 one. My figuring is that is what causes the buzzyness. Any one got thoughts on this?
Have referred to other experts, my assumptions are correct.
If any one is fitting carrello rod's take note the oil feed holes are on one side of the big end only and need to be facing forward towards the oil squirters.
Standard rods are slotted both sides so it don't matter.
Take note Hugh!
A while ago i bought a rephased crank with correlo rods and have just noticed the oil holes face to the back of the engine, is this correct? Would have thought they should face the oil squirter in the front gallery. Any experience with this would be great.
Hey why not turn one into a 650? check out my album, replace the lower frame tubes and the motor fits right in, glad to guide you. Makes for a meen good handeling machine
When you are assembling shit that has to come apart again use some nickel antisieze compound, especially axles and the like. Use a small brush, you don't need much, its quite expensize but my tin is 30 years old and still got plenty.
