Well got her all cleaned up and ready for our local bike and car show next week. I would just like to say that when you grease your chain get a good quality grease, I used cheap liquid wrench chain grease, and it got everywhere. :doh:

Thanks, the bike has been done for a while now, just been to busy to post some pics. Have about 800 miles on it now and running great. Going to clean it up next week for local bike and car show, so will hopefully get some updated pics posted.

Just hang in there man. My tail took 10 weeks too with terrible email support. It is all worth it though when you get it. Plus the lines of the tail are perfect.

Thanks Sci85. I used Plastikote engine enamel, you can get it at farm and fleet. Its seems to be pretty durable. I have done a couple gas test with it, and the gas didn't even touch it. I also used Plastikote engine primer first before the black.

Painted and polished the carbs, and gave them a rebuild and larger jets. Hopefully the bike will be running again this weekend:thumbsup:

I polished my fins before painting, and then used the edge of a file to scrape the paint off after painting it.

I tried filing the hubs before I used the hammer to bend the spokes, but couldn't get them to line up. the problem is that the heads aren't bent in enough, so when you go to align the spoke up with the hole in the rim it pushes itself out of the seat in the hub. When you bend the spoke in a tad...

I have the TC Bros kit and it is very nice, and easy to install. I cant say yet how it rides as I am finishing my bike, but will review when it is finished, and the snow melts. I did have an issue with one of the bags leaking, but i put 60 psi in it and it must of made a seal seat because it now...

I used PlastiKote engine paint from farm and fleet. I have done some test pieces dipped them in gas, and the paint held strong.

Got a little farther on the build tonight. Also took some pics of the inside of my electronics tank. Fuse Distribution Block Ignition and accessory relays on left, HID slim ballast mounted along tank wall.

Thanks! Rear fender was from Lowbrow. They have three different styles, the one I have with the flat top bump, one with a mohawk bump, and a plain smooth one.

Just got back from the powder coater (hotrod2828), and the tins look awesome. I went with a heavy silver metallic base coat with transparent lollipop red top coat.

Thanks Todd. I went with a LED SLED rear fender. It is a very thick and very well constructed fender.
