New game: Which bike brought the most money at auction?

Agreed but collectors love the boat tail. I’ve seen two complete ones sell out of Wisconsin in the last few years for just north of 20k each, they were however repainted(factory correct) and not 100 point bikes.

    "Unplanned Dismantling"

At the end of the day I’m just excited there’s an interest in exploring space. As a longtime trek fan it definitely gives me hope that we still have some exploration left in our souls.

Should we be afraid of Artificial Intelligence?

The race to advance and procure AI dominance by big tech firms is happening way too quickly and without significant consideration for safety. As we have witnessed endlessly throughout the tech boom, the “can we” always outweighs the “should we”. It is easy to look at technological advancement as...

Selling a bike - Soft VIN Lab report?

When I used to sell cars heavy on Craigslist for my old job we constantly had these interactions with “buyers” who wanted us to obtain vin reports on cars we were selling from some vin verification website(there’s tons of them). It’s kind of a scam, as you do get a legitimate report, however...

    150 Tractor Auction

Oooof that Stuart M3 tank, always wanted one for ya know, well I have no good reason but also can’t see any real downsides either.

    War on Drugs?

I believe we can do a lot to prevent addiction at home. Being good role models, fostering positive relationships with those in our lives, and being an active participant in our community can go a long way. Sometimes just being a non-judgmental active listener for a friend or family member in...

    War on Drugs?

I completely understand that question and feel it’s weight. I can’t begin to tell you how many patients with addictions I’ve taken care of month after month, year after year. I can say the same however for a lot of my heart failure patients. There’s no magic number I’ve ever been able to come up...

    War on Drugs?

Let natural selection take its course? Sure, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, type 2 diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and many forms of cancer, I can keep going for a long time on self afflicted disease processes, pretty much all preventable with good diet, lifestyle choices, and exercise...

    War on Drugs?

I took it as we were just starting to get too far off topic which I dig. I don’t think gggGary was knocking anyone just reasserting the topic of this thread.

    War on Drugs?

Our CEO was doing 11.7 million until he was publicly shamed over it, he cut that back to a meager 8.5 million, which makes sense considering we are a non-profit system right? Don’t get me wrong, we are the biggest healthcare provider in the state of Illinois and Wisconsin, slated to soon be one...

    War on Drugs?

There’s a lot of truth in that last paragraph. I’ve watched this transition personally in my last 2 decades in healthcare and frankly it’s caused nothing but burnout in staff and worse overall care for out patients, healthcare should never have transitioned to a business model. I remember many...

    Real Estate Update

The cold really isn’t too bad, you just have to dress appropriately for it which is easy enough to do. Snow on the other hand, is what makes it a pain in the ass. Commuting in the snow, mainly due to people who operate vehicle’s like a bunch of dumbasses is what gets you in these parts of the...

    War on Drugs?

Drug addiction is a complex issue to solve and there’s no one size fits all solution. Sometimes I feel like a societal shift in attitude towards treatment and prevention will go further than anything. Even when we look at countries like Malaysia, where the death penalty for possession and...

    War on Drugs?

It’s a bigger problem than the cartels. I treat more patients by far for pharmaceutical drug addictions than I do classic street drugs these days. Fixing the drug problem is much more than closing borders or going after cartels, there’s way more hands in the game.

Looking to buy an 82 xs650 with 15k miles on it.

I always reccomend evo sportsters, 883 to be specific for a good first bike. Easy riding position, enough go without too much to get ya in trouble, bulletproof engines(like the thing has oil in it and it’s gonna go), and lastly value retention as when your ready to deep six it you’ll likely get...
