Bellevue was the only station with an appointment this week. I took leave for the week so I wanted to get it done. Now I can actually leave post and come back. Lol

Well after a month of legal paperwork and repairs (with help from a lot of you) my bike was finally ready, and yesterday I made the trip to bellevue for my state patrol inspection. Numbers matching, all clear. Finally registered and fully legal. But more importantly, it made a 100 mile round...

Nah, I tried, they wont do anything until I complete this whole headache process. I sent a certified letter to the last registered owner, who wasn't even the guy I bought it from, it was the guy before him. The letter contained a loss of interest form. However, I've been tracking the letter...

Nah it wasn't a grabber, hell it wasn't even really in very good shape, but it was all there and it was running, a great start for a resto project. Yeah, I realize it rains like crazy here, but my wife and I have another car, so I can always use hers if need be, plus I'm only about 3 miles from...

Your good man, I was just agitated. Everytime I fix one thing another thing breaks. I imagine it will be like this until I have either replaced the bike, or every part on it. Its my first bike, I told myself I was gonna get one before I hit 30 in the fall, so I'm bent as hell on keeping it on...

should my 80 special have an advance rod?

Should I really have to tweak it up and down, I thought the idle screw was more "set it and forget it" Posted via Mobile

should my 80 special have an advance rod?

I have, but when I do that I have to maintain a pretty constant throttle to keep it from stalling, even after warm. I suppose I could just be picky and impatient, but I really think there is something wrong, Posted via Mobile

    Help needed please !!!!!

For the oil check, sit on the bike, stand it straight up, feet on the ground, then just lean over and check the stick. That's what I've been doing, it is too much work getting it on the center stand to check the oil every other day. Posted via Mobile

should my 80 special have an advance rod?

When I first start it up its fine, I pull the choke, fire it up, run it with the choke for a few seconds, then pop the choke in, give it a little throttle, then let off, and it idles beautifully at about 1200 rpms. After riding for a little bit, when I down shift to first, pull the clutch and go...
