I just did a ton of research on this. You will need to check your cam chain tensioner, adjust the valves, then set the timing. I'm not sure how to use the timing light with it yet but If you set your bike to TDC and then set the pamco to the spot pete recommends it should ride pretty good and...

Pete I just tried the method you suggested with no luck. It wouldn't even pop with the separate battery. Also the old rotor setup is long gone.

Turns out I left the little pin in the engine during the banshee swap. It was causing the banshee assembly to bind which was causing the engine to bind. Thanks for the help and trouble shooting.

Exactly. I don't understand why it's being such a pain in the ass. Correct me if I'm wrong but the gear on the clutch pack will not move unless the worm gear is adjusted correctly.. right? Could a bad worm gear assembly, clutch cable or perch assembly be the problem?

I believe the engine is a 80-81. The bike no longer has electric start. When it did have electric start it started fine same with the kick starter. I have not done anything to the inside of the engine. It was working fine before i took off the clutch cable several months ago. I will check out...

Bill I may have some nozzles from the fans I was using if I can find them I'll send them to you if you want them. They are stainless with like a 1/8th outlet on one end and a outlet the size of a hair on the other. They also come apart so you can clean them out from mineral build up.
