Thanks for the responses. I did use a 12mm - 1.25 thread die to clean up the threads. I had to cut off the first 1/2" of the stud, which left enough stud to mount the footpeg, but not enough to use to mount aftermarket exhaust, also. I have taps and dies, will drill and tap. Found a 12mm/1.25...

Thanks for the response. Yes, that's the culprit. Do I understand that it's not a big deal if it's not in place? Or, will there be a large amount of oil coming from the breather?
I just put an engine together - getting ready to put it in the bike when I found that the "breather plate" was still on the bench. What are the problems faced if I run the bike without the bp installed? :doh::wtf::banghead:
