Gracer is back - XS650 engine build without doner engine

I'll consider that for sure. I see 700cc and 750cc discussion, is it just preference or is there a big difference in power/price?

Gracer is back - XS650 engine build without doner engine

I got a bunch done on my engine build. I soda blasted the head and rocker box but it still shows some corrosion. I finished porting the head, lapped the valves, installed new valve seals, rocker box seals and rocker arms. I bought a complete head to do this and put those parts in the head I...

Gracer is back - XS650 engine build without doner engine

I'm making good progress on the engine build. I now have the bottom end all buttoned up. Gears are shifting, able to find neutral, kick start installed and works. Question: on the oil filter (in the side cover) how much should I tighten the plug that holds the spring and ball? I'm thinking...

I might need one more part you might have before I close the case halves and install the clutch. Let me check tonight and then I will reply. Thanks

Gracer is back - XS650 engine build without doner engine

Guys, I'd like to build an XS650 engine that has a bunch of missing parts but I don't want to use a doner engine that could be rebuilt itself. I'm hoping to get some help here and let you know what parts I need in hopes that you may have it on a shelf somewhere and don't have to take it from a...

    For Sale - 1918-Style XS650 (see May 2017 Calendar)

I welded in baffles so it is not loud. It has a good sound. It is street legal, I added a headlight, tail/brake light and license not show. I should have shown pictures. Lights are wired into the charging system with the old school cloth-wrapped wire, once running just flip the...

It rides strong with no control issues. Front suspension works quite well actually. So glad to have the spring seat which helps with the small bumps being a hardtail. No speedo but I estimated I had it up to 55 mph based on traffic flow. Fun to ride and show!

What have you done to your XS today?

A2 is the thread class for English threads (but that's external so ?), metric thread class is like 6H/6g. M10 x 1.5, or M10 x 1.25, or M10 x .75 are your standards. You probably just got the wrong pitch. Sometimes MikesXS will provide the thread information. Sorry I don't have the answer for...
