I recently went to a rear LED also. It was a plug and play for the 1157 that I kept breaking filaments on. The only thing is that it "flashes" at low rpm instead of just being dim. At 2000 rpm its twice as bright on both the tail light and brake light circuits. Gonna try an LED for the front too...
