    Boys, last year before i parked the xs650 for the winter (Toronto), the bike ran fine. I didn't use any additives in the gas. This season after my bar and tank change/swap (i dont think this is related), i went to start it and it has trouble staying on when the choke is closed, and it back fires...

    i can sand down to bare metal so they make contact....i dont understand what you mean by your last statement, "You need to connect the right assembly to that through the bars so both assemblies must make good contact". Just sanding on both sides wont fix my starter issue? thanks again

    Whats up fellas....yesterday i installed a new set of bars along with the grips, and now the starter wont fire, but kick start works. It worked fine before the work was done. I'm puzzled, any ideas what it could be? The battery is fine. Thanks

    Guys..my bike has issues starting when its cold..it takes 4 or 5 tries, but eventually starts. Whereas in the summer...it starts on the first shot every time. What can you guys equate this to?
