I pulled the side cover and the clutch plates and I can`t see any marks on my `72. I put new plates in from MikesXS, it said to use 6 metal and 7 fiber, which I did. Now what? This 40 year old is kickin my ass!!!!!

I soaked the plates in oil, I also replaceed the springs, I didnt know about the dimple, it`s a `72 XS2, I thought only the later ones had the dimple? I`ll check it out thanks!
I installed new clutch plates and bearing. the bike jumps and dies when I put it in gear. I have adjusted the screw on the engine and the cable nuts are all the way in on the lever. whats up?
I purchased a new front caliper from 650 central and the upgrade pads for my XS2, it came with shims, do I need to install the shims?They are a pain to install!!!
