That makes sense. The spark going off at the wrong part of the cycle sending the piston back wrong and pushing back on the kick. I will redo the the timing. The timing seemed to be the trickyist of the camchain/valve adjustment/timing trio. Thanks.

Ok so I had a little issue with the throttle cables as I had them rigged a little off. Everything seems to be good now. When I kick it over it either just doesn't crank or it will kick the kick arm back in a violent manner (basically bruising my foot even w good boots on). Need to research what...

Well, I got em, I spent money on the correct parts to get them to run as they should and I'm determined to TRY and make these work. Luckily I have the very knowledgable group that is xs650 to help!

Ok I've been having fun. Got em all hooked up and the left side decides to leak gas real bad. First it's coming out of the hole on the bottom of the bowl as circled. I plugged that ans then it decides to leak out thru the air filter. This is all just w turning thr gass on, not running it. Any...
So I ordered this cable and these adjusters but the cable end won't go thru the adjuster to go Thru the spring to the plastic... I am tempted to shave them down some but I am afraid it will fuck with the plastic holding..... Any thoughts?
