They only surprise so far was how easily it fit into my '75 cases. The install seems very simple as this point. That said... bike is not running yet so I can't comment on how well it works just how well it installed into the cases.
Fred,
not to hijack but can you do a quick run down on your impressions of the powerdynamo once you get far enough along to have an opinoin.
am seriously considering and would appreciate some hands on input
thanks
It comes with a generic black master looks like a match to the brake that HHB and others all list - since it came with it I will start there and see how I like it.
'75 cases - fit right in - no grinding for me.
It is hard to tell from their pdf instructions but the grinding that they are suggesting is on the left edge if that oil channel not on the back side.
in other words the slave should fit on the pushrod with no modification - the grinding is only...
bleeding: got it now. I have done hydro brakes on mt bikes too many times to think about. I will do the original fill w/ the assembly off the bike so that I can limit bubbles in the system and then do final bleed after assembly.
as to the construction. I will turn the screws when I am in the...
I don't quite understand peoples concerns on bleeding. it has a bleed nipple on the outside of the case under the stock clutch adjustment cover. I think it should be fairly straightforward.
hydro line came preassembled and exits the slave straight down. it does not fit through the cable hole...
Popped right in
no mods needed.
There is some lateral play that I think will work itself out once there is pressure on it from the other side.
If I am not getting enough separation there is enough room to shim between the side cover and the slave body to adjust my throw.
pretty pleased w/ it...
Xs650shop.de was easy. Not automated. Fill out the order and they send a PayPal invoice. English was fine by email. Shipping took 5 days. Box was beat up but complete. Like I said I will dry fit it tomorrow and post pics. Came w no instructions so I might need some consult.
I got tired of waiting for you all to sort this out...it's been like a week. So I ordered the german one.
If you want any measurements let me know.
Will dry fit it tomorrow and post pics if there is interest.
Thanks for the idea
harbor freight sand blaster is only as good as the cfm s on your compressor. That's why they are always on craigslist - we all thought we were saving money by spending $100 on a blast cabinet only to find out we need to spend another $2000 on a new compressor.
1.25 pitch is hard to find - that's why they cost $$$ from the moto guys one at a time. 1.5 thread pitch is what you get from mcmaster etc in 10 packs.
