I'm thinking about converting from drum brake to disc brake on my '81 special with mag wheels. What do I need to make this conversion? I'm guessing: disc brake wheel, disc brake swing arm, brake caliper. Anything else I need or must be aware of? /J

Hi! I just bought this speedometer from xs650shop.de No I realize that my stock speedometer is of course mechanical :doh: How can I convert so I can use my new speedometer? Which product do I need? Sorry for being a total newbie :shrug: /Jess

Thanks a lot for all the replies. Turned out the wires on the back I was fiddling with were the right ones and it HAD a flasher relay. Got some help with the front ones and now they blink. A bit annoying with the creative wiring but for now it's fine as long as it works. Thanks. /J

Thanks. Sorry about that, it's an '81 Special. So I'll have to remove the tank to get to it? I just filled it up, I guess it would be wise to empty it first? I connected the rear signals to the wires that run along the rear of the frame, I figured they must be for the signals. They are black...
