    Rear mag wheel not true?

I was hoping it would be the easy fix for you. First would be to check for any play in the wheel bearings or misaligned shims  Looking for anything before you have to pull the tire. Next would be to pull the tire and check the rim with a dial indicator.

    Rear mag wheel not true?

I double check that the bead is fully and evenly seated all the way around on both sides, the tire might be hung up in one small spot. That could definitely cause it. That be a nice easy fix. 🤞

    Restoring Fouled Spark Plugs?

We had a glass bead cabinet at work we could use for Govt jobs, I've done the same plug numerous times with no ill effect. Always ran the B8ES cause that's what the book said but they fouled often, carried the extras in a saddle bag for quick change on the road side. After some reading on the...

    Am I the only one?

Ever lose the wrench you were just using, in your back pocket. Yup. Ever lose the glasses on your face? Yup. Mom would yell when I was younger "If it had teeth it'a bit you" And it's only getting better with time. The wife promised me she wouldn't send me off to the home when I lose it though...

    Buying Someone Else's Project ('81 XS650SH)

Welcome nexizen. You might want to think a bit on the center stand, they're really handy. I have a bike without one and wish it did. Good luck with the build, lots of info and inspiration here. :)

Scenario: clutch breaks. What's your contingency?

    Turned the key, got nothing

:twocents: I always stored my battery's indoors and trickle charged them when it crossed my mind. Lawn mower finally quit last cut of the year. Got 15 yrs outta that one, want to find the same kind if I can. There's something about leaving them in a machine that just feels wrong, kinda like...

    Carbs popping off

My 75' was doing that for a while IIRC it was advanced timing. Got new boots, the gasket ring inside had torn out in spots also helping to run lean, not helping matters.

    Turned the key, got nothing

Harbor Freight has a battery load tester for 20$. It's a worthwhile investment.
