What have you done to your XS today?

. No way I'm losing this one, or the ones for my 35mm forks. I have 35mm tools for both styles. With the time I put into this it's worth at least $200 to me!

What have you done to your XS today?

Got the fork seals done on my buddies 72 with 74 forks. Kept hand filing It until it fit. A few members here gave me measurements for a starting point. Had to use a hack saw, hold the socket with vice grips, and use a hand file.

Wanted - 34mm fork "tool" dampener rod holder

We are working it today with a 10mm socket. Unfortunately I work out of a storage locker with no power or vice. This takes some time with a hack saw, vice grips, and a hand file. Will report back once it’s done.

Wanted - 34mm fork "tool" dampener rod holder

They are 74 I believe. It’s the 34mm forks. Going to try it again today with a 10mm socket and a grinder. Any measurements would help.

What have you done to your XS today?

They are solid brass. I had to hand file the HHB bushibgs to get the bolts to fit for the risers. It will be a matte black tank but a black leather seat. I have a sportster frisco style tank as well.

What have you done to your XS today?

Got the wife's 81 pods back in and the fuel lines hooked up. Then decided to start on the 75. I went ahead and replaced the fork seals today. This also included replacing the circle retaining clips, washers, fork caps, fork cap o-rings, dampener bolt, and dust boots. I used Bel-Ray 15wt oil with...

    75 Build

I’ve been working on my wife’s 81 XS650 (with a 73 engine) for the most part lately. That, and restoring USMC dirt bikes, rebuilding a TW200, and helping a buddy with his 72 XS650. Finally got back to the 75. I went ahead and replaced the fork seals today. This also included replacing the...

What have you done to your XS today?

Thanks. They are fairly cheap biltwell recoil grips. I run them on my rigid shovelhead as well. Then feel pretty good and help mitigate the vibration.
