Alright so a bit of an update here. Dug into the XS tonight and found what appears to be where a mouse or some rodent chewed on the battery return from the stator (red). So I cut that part out, cleaned up the wire, and all the terminals, soldered it back together and what'ya know I got 13.5V...

Good info there guys. I am going to pop that stator cover off tonight and pull some readings. The headlight was dimming and getting brighter with revs with the old battery, but doesn't seem to do it with the new one. The low voltage readings lead me to believe the system is pulling...

Hey guys, Anyone know what the bearing specs are for a 77' rear spoked hub? I am trying to swap some XS wheels onto a bike with a 17mm axle, instead of the 20mm (i believe) that the xs runs. I heard that the rear has two different size bearings. Is this correct? Thanks.

I second that verdict. Looks like one of (likely the front) cam guides for sure.

Anyone know of someone in the states who does this mod? Or better yet how to do it? Thanks guys.
