I don't think that is the case, because there are still plenty of bikes even now that only have single disc brakes.....The CB750K series, for instance, didn't get twin discs until the F2 in 1978........ they would have to pass type approval, but it seems to be the case back then that...

Did the European \ non US 76 C models get twin front disc? I'm not sure if the C model ever came to the UK, but those we did get came with twin discs.....it always seemed to me, back in the day that the US got the first examples of everything and the best colour schemes, and Europe got handling...

Thank you.....I have scoured ebay and haven't found an original key yet.... I learned along the way that Yamaha key blanks are quite varied; I know which blank I need and I can get a copy key cut in the UK which I will do, but I'm hoping someone on here might have a bunch of old keys or a long...

As per the title I'm looking for a matching key, hopefully genuine Yamaha (as per the one in the photo) with the plastic head, to make up a set of two for my bike......no one likes having just the one key! I'm in the UK but happy to pay whatever it costs for postage etc.......... Mick.

The Heiden part is identical to the idea that Jim had in post 2888 where he suggested a bevel to the collar which would allow an O ring to be compressed. I have a lathe, but there was mention of this collar being made of particularly hard material, so I think I will just include one in my next...

I would guess someone with a lathe could take the standard collar and turn it down to copy that, it shouldn't be too hard to find a suitable O ring.
