Ha, yes, it was saved on my pc and I couldn’t sort it out on my phone and vice versa but I wanted to thank you right away for the info.
Finally getting the bike back out of long term storage and getting things sorted.
Perfect, thanks for the heads up. It sounds like I need to put together an agreed upon value estimate with progressive. I asked some appraisal services what was involved and they wanted $300 just to look at it! A few hundred a season for coverage is much more reasonable.
I spent several thousand on parts and did the restoration work myself. The cycle itself cost me about 1250, and the custom parts and such a few thousand more.
I live in Milwaukee, WI, and I would like to insure my custom build. I have a few concerns about this and do not know what to expect. Of note: no signals or gauges.
How much should an appraisal cost? What on earth is my bike even worth? How much should it cost to insure?

Thanks 5twins - If your well tuned bike does it for no apparent reason then I suppose I can give up the gun and just accept it as part of the bike knowing that I gave it an honest effort at perfection. It is good to hear you say that the BS34 is not very responsive when tuning the air mix...
I have been beating my head on a wall fine tuning my bike and I am wondering if my petcock is contributing to my woes. I attempted to T-connect my BS34 vacuum barbs to my stock petcock vacuum port but I am still having a hard time balancing perfectly. I can get my right cylinder to fire a...
Well Thursday afternoon or Friday during the day would be good. Maybe middle of the day Saturday or possibly mid day Sunday? Thurs or Fri would be ideal but let me know. Doesn't have to be a rush.
Interesting note; when I went from the colder iridium plug with 5k caps to the correct 5k cap + stock bp7 plug I went from sooty plugs (duh) to plugs that looked too lean (pristine) after about 30 miles. There was hardly even a faint smoke ring on the base of the insulator. The strap showed a...
No rush to get rid of these, next few weeks would be nice. Only thing I ask for is a picture of what the parts were used on for some nostalgia. DJ has first dibs now. I did get a PM from a gentleman in MN, but I don't have any boxes and I am really slammed in my personal life now (sorry). Also...
The front rim was obviously cut straight through the spokes in a fit of rage after frustratingly unlacing the 16" rear. The wiring harness is cannibalized. I don't know if I still have all the little screws and bits for all these things in the box either. The speedo with miles is not included as...
