    Sounds like my pilot screw adjustment was not done correctly. Also, no tach on this bike.

    Cam chain, valves and timing have all been previously adjusted.

    No barb plugs on this particular year, maybe leaking elsewhere. Pilot screw adjustment did not help, tried that first. I'll start with those other possibilities though. Thanks!

    I'm really confused. First it should be stated that the bike was just rewired and the carbs recently cleaned. ('74 TX650) The bike fired up really easily, and sounded great. Initially it idles really well, but when given throttle, it stays high. This is in no way related to the actual throttle...

    I could swear that my headpipe is single walled, I was actually a little confused when looking at it because I expected a double wall. I will have to go look at it again tonight to see if maybe the inner pipe is just recessed a bit. Your solution is ideal though, thanks.

    Hey man, last night we were putting on dual taper tip mufflers and ran into the problem of the right mounting right under the brake pedal.
