I am sorry man I thought for some reason you were in California. Pretty much as long as you have possession of the bike and have the title you just have to fill out the statement of fact and sign it. If nobody contests it, the bike is yours. Took me like 3 weeks and she is all done.

I am gonna follow this thread as I have to replace the head due to a failed retainer on my engine. So these things are what I am gonna have to know as well.
Don't get me wrong, I know what you are talking about. Dying doing something you love would be the best way to go. Those riders sure do put on a great show that is for sure. One day I will have to go and see it in person.
I actually have no found a head yet. I haven't had a chance to pull the head to see how hurt the motor is to see if I need an entire replacement. Time is just getting away from me at the moment. But I may as well just get the head because even if I want to rebuild this one I am gonna need it.
Ya I am looking at a nice fresh head if at all possible.
As far as the heads I thought they changed the points or something in the late 70's. This is all new to me so I am just making sure.

My intake valve on the left side is hammered and the rest are not looking so good. Let me know if you have a head that you are willing to part with. I would like a COMPLETE head if you have it. Thanks.
