    Pamco ignition

Ok so it’s a stock engine. It’s not rephased. I know I’m a little sad too. Oh well. Piston and cylinder walls look good though. And I have a stock ignition as well. Points up top. I don’t have a rotor though. So can I put my Hughs Handbuilt PMA on this set up?

    Pamco ignition

I don’t know for sure but I think that I don’t. It’s pretty rough. Doesn’t even have all of the components of the charging system installed. Ippy, why would that matter?

here’s my ignition. The PO told me this resistor or chip burnt out. Something about it not being grounded or something like that. Anyone have any options for me?

    Pamco ignition

Ok. So I’ve read a bunch of posts on here and YES, I know that Pete has retired. My question is this, does anyone do any repairs on his boards? I picked up an ignition in a box of parts that I bought and the PO said he burnt one of the resistors or chips on the board. Was wondering if I...

Well I picked up a kicker pedal today. Didn’t have one on the bike when I bought it. The engine cycles which is a good thing. Still have no idea what the internals look like but I will get to that soon. Realized that the kicker gears work and turn the engine BUT, there’s no rebound to...

Yah I had thought about that. Good point. I have a bore scope as well that I’m going use to look inside the cylinders after I do those tests

    Wanted - Bs 34s

Picked up a 77 650. Didn’t have any carbs with the engine. Looking to pick some 34s up. Don’t have to be cleaned or rebuilt. Would love the challenge of rebuilding them myself. TIA

So carb questions, since I don’t have any carbs at all and I’m trying to figure out what I need to get am I looking for 34s or 38s? I have no idea of anything was done internally to this engine and the PO doesn’t know as well. If I find what I need should I buy cleaned and prepped ones or...

Yah it doesn’t have much of anything. Needs carbs, carb boots, and all of the engine wiring required to at least make it run. I will check out the ignition system since again I have no idea what it has. It doesn’t even have a kicker. Got a long road to go.

Thanks man. I really appreciate the feed back. I will keep looking around the tech forum and looking for info. Yah I’ve already been lead down the path or new and improved and it’s a hard lesson to learn but I’m past that. I’ll figure out my wiring and my ignition issues and move forward...

Skull. Thanks for the info. That’s at least something helpful. Again I’m not looking for nor do I need to be spoon fed. Just looking for information. I will do more searches and I will have more questions. Hoping to get some decent responses to them. And not spoon fed either
