Where can I get something like that? Also how big is the rim?
I mainly don't like the big discs and master cylinders(on the bars or the frame) that come with disc brakes.
Oh and the other stipulation is it's a springer front end, not sure how much that will change the ability to throw a drum...
What do you guys think about single brake bikes? I want to use the heritage rear wheel I have on my build which is a drum and no front brake for purely aesthetic reasons. This is mainly a bobber build that will be ridden pretty frequently but mainly around town.
So is anyone running theirs without those rings? I just dropped my cylinders on last night and didn't notice those rings until I was done and the service manual didn't mention them. :(
I remember reading once the pistons are in the cylinders if they are removed the cylinders should be honed. Is...
Yeah something must have been hung up in the shift assembly. I pulled it all out and was able to get it spinning easily. I put it all back together and it's still good. Thanks!
Yeah that's what I was trying to do, spin the star to shift it. I tried sliding the shift lever on also to try with some leverage and no dice. When I split the cases I didn't disassemble the shift dogs. This doesn't sound good for my motor. :banghead:
Hey guys,
So I'm back on track for building up my chop. The engine has been dry for some time now. I put the cases back together and I'm about ready to put the pistons on and slide the jugs on. But before I get that far I have a question. If it's dry is it normal for the trans to not want to...
Ok so I'm going to be putting the cases back together soon. On the bottom case around 2 or 3 of the holes that the bolts come through have some powder coat on them, very light but some none the less. What's the best way to prep that and not ruin the case so it still seals?
