    HHB-got any hydraulic clutch kits?

What Ippytattoo said. But....If you're mechanically inclined, there's no reason why you cannot fab one of these up yourself. I bought my clutch assembly on eBay, and went through the steps Osteoderm mentioned in his post. I really like how mine turned out, and it's easy on the hand when...

    HHB-got any hydraulic clutch kits?

Go hydraulic from Aprilia or Ducati. If Ippytattoo is producing the kits, throw your money at him to get one fabbed up for you. Don't screw around with the cheap Chinese crap on eBay. Nothing worse than losing clutch control miles from home, so do it right the first time. Just my 2 cents.

Pit Bike Kits for a Hydraulic Clutch

Hugh's sells great product, however, the pit bike parts I got were Chinese manufactured. Only the hydraulic line came from HHB. Here's what the Aprilia set up looks like on my bike: Sorry for the pic orientation. http://www.xs650.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=46115&stc=1&d=1407380908

Pit Bike Kits for a Hydraulic Clutch

Personally, I would have to recommend using an Aprilia hydraulic clutch. I just finished the install on my 72, and the operation feel over the cable is hands down better. I had the pit bike clutch from Ebay, and the longer line from HHB, but the combination of vibration, soft aluminum, and...

How badly did I mess this up?

Check that you aren't rolling, (and tearing), the rubber gasket with the piston as you push it in. I rebuilt my 75 front caliper with the Mikes XS kit and its worked fine. Good luck!

    Let's See The XS's

Absolutely right! Just the frame was a 72. I wish we knew more about XS year differences when we got it. Spent lots of time buying wrong parts before we figured it out. Did you know that piston rings for a 72 motor won't fit a 75? Yeah......We do now!

    Let's See The XS's

Just finished this build. Started out as a 1972 barn find basket case. Took a buddy and I one year, gallons of bourbon, and lots of blood, sweat , and tears. BEFORE AFTER

Yet another wiring issue with PAMCO

***UPDATE*** Received a warranty replacement regulator after contacting MikesXS. Wired it in and ran my voltage tests with the points installed. Seeing 12-13V when at idle, jumps to 14-15V at high RPM. (Voltage dropped after replacing the blown bulbs front and rear). Replaced points with...

Yet another wiring issue with PAMCO

Thanks for the responses. I've separated the Pamco unit via battery, and I'm seeing 20+ volts coming through the regulator when the RPM's are up. We've toned out and tested all the grounds, so I know those are good. I'm getting a replacement regulator, so hopefully that will solve the issue...
