Hi all,
I'm after a clutch hub in good condition and I'm wondering if anyone in Australia has a spare one lying around that they could part with.
Also happy to pay postage if it's not outrageous if any members in the 'States can help out (post code 3192).
Discovered a broken hub spring this...
Just after the bottom yoke now, can anyone help me out?
I'm in Australia but am happy to pay shipping from the US if it doesn't add up being too pricey. Just pm me if you have one you want to offload.
Hey peeps,
Thinking of doing a front end conversion as I have a spare trx850 front end. So I'm looking for an xs650 bottom yoke that would suit a '78 special. Obviously don't care if the yoke is rough, as long as the stem is straight and in decent condition.

@bbillington - it's a once a year weekend event where all bikes...
Well done! Where did you get that braided hose to cover the wiring? I've been looking for something like that - it's a great way to clean it up. The Snake Skin looks good too.
Hey Wally, it could be Saturday morning blindness, but I can't see any reference to fork oil levels on the pdf.
From memory, I'm running a 150mm air gap (forks removed from bike and compressed, Progressive springs removed, no other mods).
:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Ok then, from one Aussie to another, I am running Metzeler Lasertecs on my '78 Special. Once warmed up, they provide good enough grip for me - this was at Broadford a few weeks ago. My right header would scrape on the final right-hander, found the ground clearance limit...
Must be hard being a good boy and not riding it around - I was actually curious about how the carbs were working out for you, but I guess you wouldn't have had a good chance yet to give them a good run! Don't know if your cans allow it, but sometimes (I kid you not) you can fit a stainless steel...
