To put things in perspective, I got mine off an importer from the US. Cost me $1600 as a roller with a broken frame and the majority of the bike in pieces. From there it cost me roughly three times that initial purchase price to build it and that doesn't factor in my own 'labour' time.

Rear seat is a xr750 replica style fiberglass item. Mounted it with some m6 bolts from underneath, nothing special but had to shorten the rear hoop a fair bit. You can see it properly in this clip
I wouldn't associate Yamaha with being cheap bastards but yes, they're rubber mounted for a reason. I have found and made a solution to this issue, Just need more riding time to ensure it is sorted 100%
