    leaking oil from crankcase

the pma repair went well.. hadn't noticed the leak because it was parked on it's center stand since last year . otherwise i would've repaired it prior of the pma install. I guess this will be my learning curb. found a neat write up on the crank seal replacement...

    leaking oil from crankcase

I recently installed a PMA kit on the bike. The following day, I noticed a small oil spot on the floor, didn't think much about it and started up the bike. As soon as the engine got warm, I went from a drip to almost a flow of oil pouring out from the bottom of my left crankcase cover. I...

    electrical issue.

I hope I'm posting in the right section. Were to start... I picked up a 78xs650 in original state. just recently got the carbs rebuilt, and installed them with new air pods. my regulator was pooched, so I replaced it with a new solid state regulator/rectifier. Oh yes and I changed the plugs and...

    BS38 carb holder issues

I thought of mounting them pointing downwards but I doubt it would sit right. I ended up cutting the barbs down 1/4" and they fit great. as for the vacuum line, it went on snug and I have no worries of it popping out

    BS38 carb holder issues

my right one hits as well, and the left one comes real close, not nearly enough space to pass the tubing onto the barbs

    BS38 carb holder issues

ya, I'm kind of accepting the fact they are garbage ... just wondering what kind of mess I'm getting my self into if I cut down the barbs half way to allow the clearance needed to get them on. the problem is. I live in Canada and it's hard to find parts or places that deliver up here, and...

need some pointers for electrical relocation. im in the process of getting my brat kit done up for my 78xs650 ... tried to find posts on this forum, but couldn't find what I need.. Got rid of my stock battery box, and changed my battery to a ballistic cell type. upgraded my...

    BS38 carb holder issues

I just received my carb holder kit from mikesxs Part #48-7479. At first glance they looked alright. Removed the old and damaged holders, and I noticed the barbs on the new kit were slightly longer and mounted slightly off as well. Anyway, replaced the old gaskets, lined up the new holders and...
