I thought the magnets were weak on the '81 also. After doing a little searching on the internet it seems that the rare earth neodymium magnetic plugs are out there for the common 14mm plug size but not the odd 30mm the xs650 motors have. I did find 30m x 1.5 pitch billet aluminum oil filler caps...
