    For Sale - 80 XS650 BMX Style Custom-Duluth, MN

SOLD AS OF 11-30-13 This bike started out as a low mileage 1980 Xs650. I believe the mileage was about 5,000 when the bike was taken apart and I've put maybe 10 miles in test rides on it. I built the bike in the style of a BMX bicycle, so its very minimal and clean. Its light, nimble...

    Project "BMX Build"

Thanks a lot, guys. :) 54, I appreciate the sentiment. My dad was a pretty awesome guy. A quick update on the bike: I painted the rear fender last week and I'm getting ready to mount it. I'm still kind of undecided about the tail light. I'm thinking of putting some mini lights in the ends of...

    Project "BMX Build"

Thanks! I'm actually in northern Wisconsin! Lol! Kind of near Superior. Superior is a total pit, but its the closest city.

    Project "BMX Build"

My axle adjusters came in the mail Saturday & I put them put on. Here is my first real ride of any distance. Not too far to push home if I had to! lol! The bike runs and handles great. I'm pretty excited to take it down the highway since I've only gotten up to third gear so far. Just the...

    80 Rear Master Issue

I set the master in the vice with the line going down to the caliper and tried to bleed that way. No high points between, just the line relaxed downward to the caliper. I believe the line is clear and I was getting clean, clear fluid out of the caliper, just with no pressure. It just didn't seem...

    Project "BMX Build"

The Unis arrived today and I put them on. I like the way they look and hopefully I can fine tune the carbs now that they're in their final state. I was able to take the bike down my road a little bit! Terrifying. Lol! I'm glad to report that it runs, shifts and rides just fine. I need axle...

    80 Rear Master Issue

Ha! Good point! Dawn takes grease (and ducks) out of your way. I just ordered a rebuild kit for $18 shipped, so hopefully that'll do the trick. My Yami dealer is pretty far from me, I live in the country. Its usually easier (and cheaper with the price of fuel for my gas hog truck) just to order...

    80 Rear Master Issue

Thanks Brian. I'll take a peek at that. I think I'll try to source it somewhere else, though. If I remember correctly, their shipping is stupid expensive. I was worried about the cleaner so I removed anything rubber before cleaning out the body of the M/C. It claims its safe for rubber parts...

    Project "BMX Build"

Nope. The motor doesn't have that. On today's episode of "project bmx"... I tried to get the brakes bled, but ran into a snag (of course) with my "new" used master. It is a used part guaranteed working, but it isn't, so I'm waiting to hear back from the seller. I'm so tired of delays...

    80 Rear Master Issue

I bought a (supposedly good) used rear master for my project. I installed it today, but was not able to build pressure. At all. I am getting clean, new fluid out of the caliper bleeder but no air. I kept at this for well over an hour trying to get it to do something. Bubble, build pressure...
