For sale is my 1983 Yamaha XS650 Chopper. The motor has about 12,000 miles an it completely stock. The hardtail is a David Bird with a 2 inch drop and a 4 inch stretch. I'm selling this bike to fund another project. This has been my daily rider for the past few years. I have not had a...
Thanks for the replies. I added 7oz not 7.5. I was just a little hesitant because the service manual calls for a lot less then 7.5 oz. it raining cats and dogs here so I haven't had a chance to take it for a ride but the front end seems a lot more firm.
I'm changing the oil for first time since I've had the bike. I searched throughout the forum and I just want to make sure I'm adding the proper amount of oil. I going to be adding 7.5 ounces. I just wanted to make sure this the right amount for my 83 heritage special.

Ok. I checked the rear sprocket for wobble and it seems pretty damn straight. I added more tension to the tensioner and it seemed to do the trick. I can still feel a little shimmy but its pretty much barely noticeable. There another notch on the tensioner to add even more tension and I may...
