    Valve work needed

After a hectic year, I'm finally getting back to my build. Had some life changing events put a stop to my project, but I'm ready to go now. I need to get my cylinder valves seated and or ground. I'm not comfortable doing them so wanted to see if anyone here can do them. They may just need...

    Jim's 1980 SG Miss September

Thanks Jim. I may change my mind and give it shot myself. That will be another $400 - $500 in my pocket for other parts.

Jim, What are you spraying the paint and primer with? HVLP?

    Jim's 1980 SG Miss September

Mikes used to sell them chromed but I've not seen them lately. Mine is (was) chrome but has been painted. I may just have it painted for now but would like to eventually find a nice chrome one to bring my bike back to (near) original.

    Jim's 1980 SG Miss September

Thank you sir. I'm going to grab a set of those. I will pair them up with Head pipes from mikes. I will stay tuned to see about what you come up with for re-chroming. My foot rest brackets need done and a few other parts. My front fender is one of the biggest parts that I need done.

    Jim's 1980 SG Miss September

Jim, you had mentioned earlier in this thread having some parts re-chromed. Did you ever find a place and send any parts out? I have a few I'd like to have done but have not found a place to send them without sending along my bank account info. Very nice job on your tank. I'm going to cheat and...

    Mailman’s XS2 a full on restoration

Nice to see you back at it. I like that stool. That's what I need too and I think I will pick one up. Should come in handy when I get to the buffing stage.

According to their website, everything is made by Janus and domestic suppliers, with only a few international suppliers. Those are Light System Calipers and master cylinder Engine (China) Air Filter Carburetor (Kei Hin Technology) IKON Suspension (Australia)

    Salt clouds

Good question. I don't think it's recycled because it's clear water spraying out but maybe they do recycle it somehow. A taste test could confirm? Any takers?

They do that here too. The roads are white and dusty until a rain washes them off. The car wash owners like it though.

Sure looks like the same engine doesn't it.

I like the front suspension. Shock type instead of forks. Wonder if they'll ever build any bigger than a 250. They are spendy though. I have a 1973 CB200 that needs a resto. Might try to replicate that Janus look.

I really like this bike. Don't know why, but this is my style. This one is the Halcyon 250.
