    Thanks 5twins, I expect your right. They were sold to me as being for 1979 but your images clearly show the BS 34's with D1 on the manifold. I will have to shop around again as I think these came from Japan, any idea where to start. Thanks again

    I purchased 2 new carb holders for my 79 xs 650 but they don't seem to fit? The new holders have a D1 inscribed and I noticed the old holder that wasn't split had a C6 number.     Thanks for all the assistance guys, it turns out the coils were ok so I checked the atu and XS Leo was on the money. I set the timing light on the bob weights and the springs were too tight. I stretched them a little and away she went. Happy days. Thanks again
