What have you done to your XS today?

And I just thought I had some stuff.

What have you done to your XS today?

Moved a bunch of shit that had accumulated along side of the 78 XS to make room for my new XS... 2022 XS R 900.

    Who Rode Today?

Well, for me, it's been exactly 20 years since I rode my XS, but at least I'm back to planning on it once again. Deciding where to start has occupied a lot of my time since I sold my 06 Yamaha a month ago. So much work to do over the winter. I guess I'll start a journal. -Roger

It Happened About 25 Years Ago

Yeah, but how many truck drivers and mechanics ever get to be a photographer for Playboy? I'm yet another one who didn't! :banghead:

It Happened About 25 Years Ago

I can relate to all this, although I never spent all that long in a road tractor ...I cut my teeth working as a mechanic at my dad's gas station, and then I went back to school to become certified by the state of Virginia to work on heavy equipment ...but what I really wanted to do was drive...

How to change the oil in your Harley

Hmmmm... Yamaha FZ1 owners think XS owners are pretty cool. We also just pull off and leave Harley riders in the dust! Hahahaha! And, I don't have to stop at every Yamaha dealership along my ride either ...oh, and I wear a full face helmut and real gloves and boots... not flip flops and a...

    Poor gas mileage

I never ever got any decent mileage with mine either ...not even when brand new! I had owned a few Volkswagens that got almost as good, and I wasn't a big guy either. I do recall some here saying the foam pods would mess with the jetting, though. -R

The dreaded phone call. Having a great day until the phone rings...

I'm sorry to hear the bad news here, also. I guess we have all lost friends or known someone that has been badly injured in a bike accident, but all of life is a gamble. Ironically, I just came off another Yamaha forum where my take on the topic was that a guy proclaimed that he just totaled...

Some of you are going to call me crazy!! Dual master cylinder

Exactly! Even the bikes with linked brakes still leave you the option of applying more front brake when needed. I still find a LOT of cruiser riders that think you are never to use the front brakes, while in fact about 75 to 90% of your braking power IS in the front. Conversely, probably most...

    Who Rode Today?

I pulled the FZ1 out of its stall this afternoon. Ran it a while and went down the drive way and back one time. It won't be long now, but there's always so many projects calling me away from having fun. I'm still a long way from building a fire in the XS due to all the other stuff waiting to be...

    Just getting started.

    Just getting started.

Hey, it's not the way some of us would do it, but like you said, "It's your bike", and not really any of our business what we think of what you do. I don't really have the luxury of making a decision of where things are going to end up on my own bike. Due to financial constraints it's going...
