Interesting levers - I might grab one just to have a look. They have an integrated switch which based on the questions seems to be 'off' when the lever is pulled. Too bad, as it otherwise would work as a brake light switch. I'm sure someone smarter than me could sort out how to make that work...
For levers, I think you're going to end up needing to customize stock cables a bit.
I'm running 1" bars on my ridgid project and an XT500 front drum hub. I got a stock XT500 cable, and some simple cheap Drag Specialties polished aluminum levers for the brake and clutch side from Low Brow. For...
LOL - that engine would run for about 2 minutes before the seals were blown and oil shooting left and right out of the engine, if the thing didn't implode first.
No XS650 engine ever came without camshaft bearings and that photo is clearly not from an engine that has been run in that setup.
I thought these came off a '72 but in looking at them I might be wrong.
These are the two XS650's I had a long while back and stripped down. I'll look through my parts bins to see if I still have the gauges with the chrome housings.
What does a '72 speedo look like?
I bought this directly from Pete some time ago but never used it. Never connected, ready for your use.
I'll snap a pic when I have a chance but odds are you know what it looks like. Was about $90 when they were still sold - $40 + shipping and it's yours.
Not for a 277 rephase - this is for...
Pipes are 1 1/2" OD.
Frame is an early Voodoo Vintage MK4 with stock forks and covers I got from Benji's Cafe Racers a loooooong time ago. This has been on my bench for 10 years I think at this point. Just leaning into it now to wrap it up...
Working on my project bike and I'm in need of a pair of exhaust flanges. Somehow along the way I either misplaced the ones I had or maybe I just never had them.
I expect stock flanges should do the trick, but I'd be open to a set of flat plates as well - I haven't managed to find a source to...
Not off the top of my head but they’re no big deal. If you look up the dimensions of the stock bearings you can then just substitute 17mm for the stock 20mm and Google will provide the number.
I can do this in a bit.
Bolts right up to the XS650. Stiffer swingarm and it looks killer to boot.
$125 plus shipping from either Toronto Canada or Bluffton SC 29910 - whichever is cheaper.
Stock axle is 17mm so you can put fresh wheel bearings on your XS (which has 20mm axle) or have the swingarm bored out to take...
I don't have time to complete this project that has been brewing for a number of years so it is time to pass it along.
Voodoo Vintage MK4 rigid frame with MSO
Rebuilt never run XS650 motor with new pistons, mildly ported head, XS1 cam with proper sprocket
Powder coated XT500 aluminum rims and...
Here's the $50 or Make Offer listing mentioned.
Nice idea, but I could think of better ways to spend $100.
