    Paint, enamel or powdercoat?

I want to refinish my chainguard. I have some paint left over from the gas tank and side covers. That way I save money. I want to know if painted chain guards hold up to the rigors of riding or should I have the chain guard enameled or powdercoated. The bike is not being restored to factory new.

Does anyone need NOS yamaha parts????

Here are pictures of my sidecovers. I need the emblems that fit them. I think this is the part #447 21784. Emblems from 1970-75 should work.

I've done the following; installed new plugs/wires, ignition coils, battery, fuses and had the carbs cleaned. My bike will start one day but not the next. What else should I investigate?

    Installing an aftermarket engine guard

Thank you to everyone for the advice. I know engine guards are not for eveyone. The guard on my Triumph saved her from extensive damage when I dropped her. They are worth the investment IMO.
