So switched the wires and long story short, it fired right up! Thanks for all the help!

Yes I primed the carbs (also tried spraying Starting Fluid)... Topped battery off and checked it with multi-meter, reads 12.9 volts.

I will try that but, based on wiring diagrams and what I read here, I was 99% sure it was orange on left, grey on right...
