Anyone put a 21" rim on the rear?? Have a '81 XS and a 21" rim from a XT500 with same spoke count. Buchanans can supply spokes, but wondering about if the 21" will take the HP. Klutch Republic's blog shows a nice looking XS and it appears that 21" both front and rear. Any suggestions...

I have a 81 xs650-H. I want to retain the battery and electric start. Waiting on MikesXS to reply with info in the PMA/ignition as I can't determine which system I need. Also, if I install the PMA & Pamco Ign., do I need to retain the IGNITOR?? Thanks for any advise.

If I bypass the starter lockout relay, does this also disable the side stand, neutral, and clutch switches safety switches?

I have a 1981 XS-650 and have similar problems. The solenoid and starter are working if I jumper them separately. I found a starter circuit electrical diag. on this forum, but am tired of checking things and am about ready to bypass all the interlock/safety devices, but wonder where/when power...
