Many years ago I replaced just my friction plates and my 650 has done it ever since!
I need to sort it out now I'm semi retired!

If you want to run the bike with no wiring just connect the Pos wire of the coils (I think its the red with a white stripe)to the pos on a car battery leaving all the wiring connected but switch the engine stop off so no back feed occurs and the chassis of the bike to the neg on the car battery...
Thanks for the advise Leo. I'll have to pull it apart again and check it all out. You say some kits have some rubber like springs, would you say that the standard spring kit or the rubber type kit would be the better type to fit?
