Been riding Japanese bikes for 48 years. Other Yamahas owned over the years: Two '68 DT1s, '73 RT3, '78 DT400, '78 XT500, '81 XT250. Currently own a '70 Honda CL450 and a '84 Sportster XLH in addition to the TX650.
My TX is set up with knobbies and enduro bars for riding gravel/dirt roads. I'm running pod filters and shorty mufflers with jetting by 6Sigma. It's loud and fast.
