Looking to buy a petcock, in good working order, for my stock 1980 XS650G . Original stock number is 3G1-24500-03-00. Not sure which years are interchangeable. Would like to be able to bolt up and go without having to rebuild first. Don't want to use an aftermarket unit.

Well I replaced the fuse box, now the fuzes don't get hot anymore. I am replacing the rotor with one from RockingthepartyDJ, thanks Dave! I'm hopeful I can get the charging up closer to 14 volts instead of the 12.6 I was getting.

You were right I had used 20k range. When I checked with the 200 range I got .9 to 1.1, after subtracting the .3 the meter wanted it looks like .6 to .8. Way low, I know. If I need a replacement where would you recommend I look? I found this one on ebay , does that price seem reasonable...

While I had the brushes out to replace them I did an ohm test between the slip rings and got 0.00. Is my rotor trash?
