Well, here it is, fully rebuilt and not quite done. Still got to put on the mufflers and tune it, but I can't quite figure out what I don't love about it. I have been messing around on photoshop and can't put my finger on it. Too close I think. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe something with the color. No feelings will be hurt here so say whatever you think. Thanks

why thank you, I looked at it again, and I do like it, the pic makes the paint look a bit more orange than it is. For the tank I was thinking an aluminum badge like this. Maybe with black letters.

I can't quite put my finger on that color. It's not orange, and it's not red..... It's like a ruby mango-ish.....?

Let me first say that everything looks super clean. I really dig the moto bars. Super cool.

Looks like you have put a lot of time in on that frame with disassembly and paint.

I'm thinking that there is just maybe too much of that color (whatever it is). The tank doesn't match anything. Personally, I like to pick two colors and stick with them. Maybe add in a third for flare, but just a bit. For instance. The salt flat racer I'm working on is going to be pearl white and black with just a bit of red for accent.
I see that your tank is white, but nothing else on the bike is. Your bars are black. Maybe you could incorporate a racing stripe(s) on the tank in the ruby mango and possibly the number of your choice in black on the side, or black and ruby mango racing stripes, change the bars to white to match the tank since you have black grips and make the seat black. Add a black stripe around the rim on the wheels and touch up the center of the rotors with new black to match. I assume you will be running balck exhaust as well. I just think that the Ruby Mango needs to be broken-up a little.

It looks good so far. I hope you don't tank offence to what I said. I just figured I would kick in my 2 cents. Take it for what it is worth.

Keep up the good work!

Great thanks for the suggestions. I like the idea of the white bars and some black on the wheels.

Definitely no offense. I totally agree.

black tank, black out some of the frame area, like the pass peg mounts and the bulky part where the main pegs mount, maybe black the edge of the rim, too much red going on. the tank looks unfinished white.

longer upswept black pipes, black seat and your work is done!
:)
but honestly, if I saw that bike out on the street or parked, I would admire it, as-is.

Thanks for all the input, I have decided to go with white wheel stripes around the edges, white exhaust wrap, and black stripes down the tank. The tank is just primed now, so it will look more done when it is white and black. Also the color is more red in real life, the pic made it look a bit more orange. And I really like all the chrome on the bike, can't bring myself to paint any of it. I'll post a pic in a few days when I get the tank painted and stripes on and let me know what you think. Thanks:thumbsup:

I put on the stripes and laid down the black base coat and decided to keep it, What do you think? Still need to polish and wrap the exhaust but it is getting there:

I have an exhaust question, the bike is obnoxiously loud right now so I was thinking of gettting this:http://www.jcwhitney.com/bikers-choice-exhaust-pipe-baffles/p2027298.jcwx and putting it in the muffler. That muffler was from a harley , was real heavy and suffocated the bike so I emptied it all out. Any problems with doing that? Do I need to wrap it in fiberglass? Also what is the deal with crossover tubes, do I need one? If so where do I put it? Before or after the baffle?

P.S. Sorry about the numerous questions.
