Scissor / Torsion Spring Direction

So what's the consensus on the direction of scissor/torsion springs? I think I like the coil forward better as it give the seat the illusion of floating. These new springs are "heavy duty" and wow, are they much stiffer than the cheapo coil springs I had on before. So, what are your opinions? Forward coils or rearward coils?

I read recently somewhere that the springs work more efficiently when you have the loop forward....Personally, I like the way it looks with them pointing towards the back, that's how I'll run mine.

i vote for pointing to the front

I've heard that pointing them to the front is supposed to be softer as well, but I sure can't tell a difference sitting on it. These springs are stiff!!! Thanks for the input so far guys!
