video tells the whole thing. Although i didn't mention that the clutch slips in every gear once you go more than 3/4 throttle around 6k. Time for performance clutch with heavy springs.

Yeah, my only problem now is clutch slippage. Oh well, got that xs performance and heavier springs on the shelf for this winter.

Awesome - You didn't pick that engine up from Rwingsfan did you?? Looks like the one I built for him, and I knew he traded it off to someone... Sounds like you are very happy with it regardless...

yep, that's the one. it's a serious monster now. hey, since you built the motor, does it have the 5th gear increase? i'm *sure* i was higher than 4k at 70mph before...

Great project. Just wondering why you chose 2 into 1 exhaust.
One of the main features of a 277 rephase is the distinctive sound they make which is more pronounced with real dual exhaust. What ignition are you running?

Pete, to the last of my knowledge, it had Pamco Ignition on it, because I set it up, timed it and ran it here at the shop before delivery... Pamco is the ONLY ignition I ever recommend on these engines

it's running the 277 pamco. although i had to go back to the stock coils because i could not get enough clearance between the tank and the green monsters, and i wanted it to remain as stock looking as possible. i may take another whack at mounting them this winter, but it runs fine.
as for the exhaust, i'm more concerned with performance than sound. and the 2 into 1 scavenges better, especially with as large an overlap as that cam has.
